So, I wanted to see what the fuss was about.

Lots of chatter this morning.

I wanted to check it out. 1 minute download later, nothing apparently has changed other than I now have single player pause that I am using to write this post. Thanks for the pause option devs.

Anything they've added in terms of content won't spawn in areas you've already explored. This seems to include plants and whatnot too.

So yeah, don't expect to see a bunch of brand new stuff in areas you're already familiar with.

I'm not sure its worth restarting an entire game just for 'Caves' but that would probably be worth it if you're already played a lot on an older seed and already explored everything.

Ya, I am only at bronze age. I have two mountains on my home isle I have found, but just mapped out the edges, I have not ventured into the areas much.

If you mapped the edges of the mountain biome (as in actually walked along the snow line the whole way around), you probably generated more of the mountain than you realize. The generated/loaded area is larger than the map reveal area. So I'd recommend that when you go mountain hunting in search of caves that you look for mountains in places you haven't been yet.

* Resolution now only shows refresh rate when forcing exclusive fullscreen
* Various UI fixes
* Changed name of Unarmed skill to Fists
* Helmets covering the player character’s face should now hide beard

I am a fairly new player, so just to the point in game where I am close to taking on the Elder.

Well, I did say "apparently", so there may be a bunch of other changes but the pause feature is the one that I took notice of in my current gameplay.

What is the point of your OP then? Maybe, just maybe, read patch notes before coming thru as a tool

My point was, this morning if you read the message board, one would have believed the game was broken with the update. I posted saying it was working fine.

The only tool I see here is you.

I mean, read back over your original post in isolation using a sarcastic 'thanks for nothing devs' voice. Totally fits the established form.

Your 'tonal' additions to my op fall upon you. They are not my creation.

I am very happy with a single player pause option, makes it better to play for hours, stepping away to renew a drink or bathroom break.

Thing is it won't just be me, every Valheim patch spawns a bunch of posts complaining they didn't add anything real. If you don't include anything positive to set the tone, of course 'nothing apparently has changed' is gonna read like one of those.

That could be. I am new here, so am not aware of the board's history or tone. My post was meant as a positive one.

If I had meant it to be sarcastic, I would have added a /sarc tag. But then I understand that text does not transmit tones.

To be fair, the original post did come off as a "meh" response to the update. That's how it reads, so not exactly a "positive" vibe. It's not emotes or tones, it's in word choice. It was written blah and ended blah, no levity or anger, just....meh.
