I have 2 donut type killing pits outside my major bases to the north & south. Basically just a big round pit with a high built up area in the middle where I run to when an invasion event begins. By standing on the raised dais in the middle I am able to kill enemies at will. Since I did this I have not died during an invasion, nor have any of my structures or tamed animals sustained any damage.

Find a very large rock or hillock and dig a deep moat around it. This way there is no need for levelling or building which can reduce frame-rate and impede game performance.

last time we got raided by few trolls which dealt great damage to out defenses so I thought doing this ( ibb.co/hKGTVRB ) could nerf trolls :D

placing trophy really tanks down fps but it's still 70fps+ for now, hope devs working on optimizations

You can also build up "walls" of dirt and stone. Its way more expensive than digging a ditch but in my opinion looks better. Better vs troll attacks too!

Some of them, I'm not sure which, are sufficiently complex enough that they can cause a significant performance drop. I would be cautious about putting up trophies.

Trophies do not increase the amount or intensity of invasion events. They do not influence gameplay, and their impact on performance (framerate reduction) is nothing compared to flattening large swaths of ground. They make great decorations, are used in the production of weapons & armour, and provide the greatest amount of return on coal when used in The Obliterator.

Note that using a boss tropy can reduce your game performace in your home as they have a trigger when they talk.

Also best way to deal with raids is to simply just make a ditch araund your home and go afk when it starts. The more you kill = more will spawn in next 2 min.

It would be fun if they caused fear / rage effects for some mobs, as fires do for greylings.

A trophy mounted on an item stand in the radius of a fire will raise comfort level by one. Additional trophies mounted on item stands will not raise the comfort level further, as far as I know.

As far as I know, mounted trophies have no direct effect, positive or negative, on the strength or frequency of game raids/events.

Keep stack of each one safe for sure, who knows what developers will come up with in the future :-D. Others you can burn for coal in obliterator.

There is a certain trophy you'll need x2.
I keep them all in a chest, this way no regrets when a recipe asks for them.
