Shouldn’t have to log into a different works, just out and back in and stam resets.

Happened to me also. Just grind enough materials for another raft and go retrieve your stuff. It's floating on the water.

Did this. Was SUPER difficult because my spawn was set on a plains island with a small patch of meadows so materials were hard to find. But I was able to leave back to my home and pick up my items in the sea.

The rule is: you die and need to come back to gather your stuff...

If you dont wanna comply and play by the rules, just use the cheat commands :o

its easy. create other game, build chest, put all yout items there. after disconnect, join to game where you are in sea and die, respawn in bed in base. disconnect and connect to that other game, take all your items from chest, discornnect and connect to game where you respawn.
Now you are back in base with your items :)

Wondering if were carrying the mats for a raft, could you spawn a workbench while floating in the ocean and build the raft before the workbench self destructed?

Not going to work. There is nothing you can spawn the workbench on. I'm afraid the only "legit" way is to bite the bullet, die, then come back with a boat to pick yourself up.

Your tombstone will float. So you got all the time in the world.

well your grave will float, and as long as you sail during the day and no storm you wont have a sea serpent, so its an easy retrival.

alternatively to all of these. log out, drop items in a new world, log back in, drown, respawn at home, get items from second world.

well there is one way thats rather cheesy but up to you..
As you get to your last drop of stamina log out. then log back in again and youll have full stam again may take awhile but will get you to the nearest shore at least

step 1: enable console
step 2: use fly mode
easy XD
