A couple of changes I would make to valheim
First of all I think that the drop rate of tree seeds needs to be much higher. I can see why ore's would be finite in this kind of world but anything grow-able should be sustainable. Currently the lack of tree seed drops means that eventually you would run out of tree's. Considering the number of seeds a tree can produce these should at least drop 1 per tree if not more. Perhaps maybe even make it the same as carrots and turnips.
The next thing is resources. As we all know they are hard to come by in the beginning which in this kind of world is not really unrealistic. However later in the game you can accumulate huge amounts of resources easily, almost to the point that you need to get rid of them from time to time. MY suggestion would be to include some form of harvesting that allows you to harvest corpses instead of having them magically explode in a cloud of resources. Make it so that as you get better at harvesting you get more resources. and then give us the option to dispose of bodies so that there are less instances of corpses and resources floating around the game clogging up the save files.
Trophies. I have so many I have to throw them in deep water to get rid of them. Make it to that the trophies are only dropped by 1 star and 2 star monsters. By the time your able to get the trophies you should be able to kill any of the monsters of the kind you are specifically hunting.

FWIW you don't need *much* of the roof to be higher, it's only the mast itself that has collision, the sails and spars are just cosmetic.

Fine wood is easily found in the plains, every wood clump on the map is fine wood, equip shield and axe, hear a buzz, shield up.
Trees do not regrow when you fell them, only grow if you plant new ones.
Use a portal to a forest, strip it clean, then build another portal for next forest. Wood just takes time to gather, does not take that long to fell a forest to be honest. I might just have to see how much can get in an hour.

another change I would like to make is boat manufacturing. I find it so annoying when they drop into the water. I've been trying to make a boathouse where I can store a boat securely, but it won't work because the boat drops from a height effectively meaning it catches on the roof each time. It looks really cool because I've managed to create a boathouse long enough and wide enough and still has barn doors to close at the end to stop monsters getting in and destroying everything. The boat dropping ruins the effect :(

Why don't you just make the boat house and then sail the boat into it? another change I would like to make is boat manufacturing. I find it so annoying when they drop into the water. I can do that however I also want to be able to make them inside. The only issue is the size of the sails.

Some points i would agree others not so much. Asfar as seeds go i think its pretty okay as is. Sure real trees would drop alot more but real trees wouldnt grow in a weeks time from seed to full growth so..
Same for fine wood trees, sure it would be nice but then again i do think it encourages going out and look for them. Also it forces players to face scarcity which makes choices obligatory, you cant have your cake and eat it. Having said that, I would like acorns having a 1 in 10 chance to drop tho. I love the visuals of oak tree's and am bummed everytime i chop one down. Would love being able to plant them for their aesthetics but not for harvesting.
Your idea of harvesting corpses i just find weird and very much out of place in this game. Sure do agree the puffy cloud sucks and i hope its just a placeholder, no need for the wait after killing something but harvesting corpses!? Sounds very much way too dark for this game. Increasing resources as your skill grows would pretty much go in the face of your reasoning for the ability to exist. Not until late game, when you argue resources are plentiful anyways, your harvesting skills would be high enough to actually do anything meaning your scarcity early on just remains, if not worstens.
Trophies i fully agree, anything would be great to do with them. They suck and take up inventory space forcing micromanagement of the backpack. Anything will do please!

Swamps got a lot less annoying once I started taking my hoe with me. I level the ground between the current crypt and my dock, and it makes ferrying the ores there much nicer.
As far as inventory I can't think of a game where I didn't have to triage my inventory. "I don't need those 2 wood, or those raspberries. I'll keep the fine wood."
If you're into mods, NexusMods has one that converts trophies into (very) small amounts of XP in a random skill. Otherwise keep dumping 'em.

That's a really clever use. You could stock up as death insurance, or gift them all to a friend when they join the game. If you're into mods, NexusMods has one that converts trophies into (very) small amounts of XP in a random skill.

The only resource I have a problem with is iron, and then only because it's such a pain to get large amounts of iron out of a swamp with all the poison and water, probably one of the most annoying ores to get, and yet it's also the ore that doesn't stop being useful and is something you will need to constantly be stocking up on if you want to build anything big.
Tree I don't have an huge issue with except for fine wood trees, normal ones there are enough of them and they grow back quickly enough on their own that I don't tend to run out, especially as you can teleport wood so you can just make a few wood camps and rotate which ones you use. I would like to see fine wood tree seeds though, as they either don't exist or are so rare I haven't got any yet, and yet fine wood is again something you need quite a lot of if you want to build a nice place.
And ye trophies... I honestly wish there was a way to convert these into meat or 1 of the other loots you get from enemies, as I've had to cover every single wall in my warehouse with greydwarf heads to try and get rid of some of the massive massive supply of them I have.

I got to that stage and then took a different approach instead: dug a whopping deep hole, made a shrine of it, and started dumping the excess trophies in there instead. Since it is a somewhat sarcastic way to celebrate the victories I'm achieving (!) I call it The Glory Hole ...
The point will come when it's full. I'm not sure if I'm looking forward to that day or dreading it ...

I just tend to dump anything I have an absolute abundance of into the deepest ocean and let the fish have them for homes/food etc.
The only things I don't dump are food, wood, ores and stone. Everything else I can get by the bucket-load.

I'd change item amounts/stack amounts and item weights. I can have 50 raw neck tail, but only 20 cooked neck tail at a time. Yet I can have a full stack of 50 serpent meat, raw or cooked. Also the ability to make fine wood, core wood & ancient bark wood piles would be sweet, once you unlock them of course.

Ah ye the inventory I'd definitely change as well actually, as I said I had to start using the server swapping ploy to move metals as it's so annoying to transport them when you get say 3 stacks from a crypt or silver vein and can only move 1 at a time without a cart, but of course in those places you ain't using a cart.
