Is it showing "not responding" under game info? thats normal. You should still be able to connect to it.

Obviously replace the first part with the IP of the server you're connecting to.

Please note this forces you to connect to that server. So to join other servers you just need to remove the launch option.

Checking the steam server list the server simply shows as not responding, I've checked my firewall as well made sure the ports were allowed there with that not helping either. Anybody that has experience something similar and possibly have a fix feel like I've tried just about anything at this point.
