Being an archer

I jumped in H&H after taking a break for a couple of months. I like to be the stealthy bow guy; this is how I always play in any game. But now that I'm deeper into H&H I start to notice something, something I don't remember being like that.

The amounts of time I see the AI "dodge" my shot in a fight is insane. The second I let my arrow fly, when it would be a legit hit, the "AI" steps (well... slides) aside a good 2 inches. This is happening almost like clockwork and it feels super cheesy.
Stealth attack works fine btw, this only happens when they are engaged in combat.

Anyone else seeing this? I find myself not using the bow as often as I like. It kinda sucks to be an archer like this.

I noticed this with deers. As soon as you aim, they'll start going left and right erratically

Well, if you say so. Guess that must be it.
Weird... it feels very different from how I remember it.

Are you attacking the same enemies with approximately the same bow skill?

It's mainly small two legged enemies that do this; greylings, greydwarfs, skeletons, draugr.
Haven't seen it with trolls.

I remember birds constantly doing this and people complained about it. These are fine now.

It feels off.

Yeah, but Skyrim has that whole "dice rolling" going on.

I've never seen any enemy do that so far. Obviously some of them move around and try to escape, and the enemies seem to have basic AI patterns like attack > run around a bit > attack again > repeat, which can make them seem like they're being evasive, when in reality they're going to run around like that whether you're attacking them or not.

Weird, because it is constantly happening to me.
Before I decided to post this, I made sure it wasn't just coincidence or bad luck. But being 50+ hours into H&H now, it feels like a pattern.

I'd say 7 out of 10 times enemies slide to the side after my release. Very close shots are fine. It happens on large(r) distances. Say from 10 meter out. I aim, let if fly and poof... immediate slide to the side. Not even a step... a true slide, like something gave them a push.
