Isn't Greta Thunberg from the same country? Maybe she held them at Gunpoint.

I think Greta is a sole developer on this nad she spent all money made from sales on plastic or something. Isn't Greta Thunberg from the same country? Maybe she held them at Gunpoint.

what most of the answers will be :
- devs are taking their time to make the best product they can
- many unexpected setbacks cuz of the high sales that needed adressing
- devs are lazy
- devs made bank and dont care anymore
- the hype set too high of an expectation and possibly the devs overpromised or overestimated their ability to deliver on their promises in the selected time frame
- small dev team
- they dont owe you anything
- the game is already perfect you should stop playing
- It takes time to deliver a good product
- better to wait then have a buggy game and possibly ruin it
prob missed a few but I think thats what Ive mostly encountered regarding this topic

several possibilities;
1 the EA revealed vastly more bugs than expected and the devs are focusing their primary effort on getting the core program working right.
2 doing a complete rework of the Mistlands biom is taking longer than expected.
3. trying to add extra content to the existing bioms to keep complaints about lack of updates to a reasonable minimum is taking developer time from an actual major update.
pick one to three of the above, or add your own.
The number of games sold has nothing to do with development speed. It is only a measure of how popular the game is, not how fast it will get developed.
Keep in mind that creating a game is more than just programming the core mechanics, you also have to make the frames, skeletons, textures, and animation scripts including combat mechanics for every creature and item. Then all that has to be play tested to ensure they are going to be balanced with the rest of the game. And that is just to get to Beta level content.
Its a lot more work than most people seem to think.

The mods should make this a robo response to questions like the op's.
Or they could just lock the thread with the comment - "Learn to search the forums for this exact/or nearly exact same question over the last year."
It's not a bad question, just a continuously repeated question. Kinda like, "Daddy, are we there yet?"

my theories
- the horse they bought ate their money
- the one guy doing the most of the programming and gamedev work is pissed off because his friends ruined his lifework with bad management
- the woman they hired messed up the group balance

no honestly you can lay the fault with the huge amount of rants of players adding stress to the team. but then again if you come out of thin air with a near perfect game in what appears to be a very short time and become one of the most succesful launches on steam it is incomprehensible what is currently happening aka broken promises and infuriating slow pacing, imo its the typical ego problem you also see with rock bands splitting up because quick succes and big cash gets to the head and messes up the group dynamic and personal lives. i love this game but i have had my share of bore out purely to the fact there is so much stalling and manipulative communication it breaks immersion and engagement they just dont seem to be able to handle their own success as a group pbbly they have internal issues over hiring new people . because thats the only explanation they didnt

Okay that one's pretty plausible tbh the one guy doing the most of the programming and gamedev work is pissed off because his friends ruined his lifework with bad management
