Only children would rush the devs. I am expecting 4-5yrs. Rimworld took that long and imo it is the best game on steam. Quality over quantity. As i said earlier this game can be replayed differently. Try sneak instead of bow gave me a lot of extra hrs and a more diverse character.

This game initially released to Steam on Feb, 2, 2021! It's only been a year! Chill out! Give these people some time to finish their game! Do you even realize how much content you've gotten? Have you bothered to follow their news here on Steam and social media? If you did, you would know very well that a TON of new content and features are coming. They even stated upon release they planned to bring the second half of the game later on after the first release to Steam.

Stay in the loop of things and you will know what's coming.

Legit. It's sad some people expect an enormous game from a smaller company to be completely finished in only a year. It's beyond ridiculous and unrealistic expectations.

IMO, it's incredibly rude to expect what you do, from Iron Gate AB, Aztara.

People wonder why mainstream corporate game development has tanked hard over the years. Well, this discussion topic is one of those reasons why. Some people are way too impatient and set expectations too high.

Scenario: company finishes game in a rush to appease impatient consumers to cash in on how gullible they are, to think they're getting a top notch game for $60 in such a short time of development. Company shoves game out the door before it's finished and fully tested, but the consumer has to have it because - hype! They get the game, the consumer complains, repeats this whole process all over again (even though they've done it half a dozen times or more already) and the loop of causality repeats itself. Even though some people get an Early Access game and know it's Early Access, they expect it to be like a full release rushed product from some mainstream developer / publisher.

This discussion is why we rarely or can't have nice tings in the video gaming world anymore. too much whinging about what shouldn't be whinged about and what should be whinged about, doesn't get whinged about enough.

There is more to come before the release. Beyond that, the devs will surely add as many expansion packs as the game's framework can support.

Don't worry, A lot more content is on the way including building, biomes, AI, Tamed etc. Just keep in mind this game does not cost $60 - $120 dollar like a AAA (that get release unfinished now days, with a lot bugs). For the price it has provided so much so far and for a Team of 6 developers they have done a incredible job and still doing so. Just keep providing them feedbacks and the support they need. They are hardly working on it. Just be patience and do mods/ build and enjoy what we have so far. I have +300hrs and haven't yet defeat the 5th boss. I take it slowly and build slow to enjoy and have a lot fun with the game.

also i recommend checking the "fireside chat" on youtube, where the devs talk about development and how they are going to handle the updates
its an older vid but they talk about the future of valheim
also the next update is in the oven
caves for mountains and whatnot stuff they are about to add
