i know i might sound trollish, but i honestly wanted to ask what makes you think that game is designed for coop?
cuz when you farm for resources you will need to farm N times more (where N is number of players). and all of the bossess and enemies are killable solo.
the only thing that is easier: you only need 1 workbench\forge\upgrades and only 1 set of summoning things for each boss.

Because the devs have literally said that it's meant to be played with a small group of friends? You don't really have to "farm" much either, it's not hard to get resources. This isn't that deep of a game. You grab some friends, you go roleplay being a viking, you kill some deer monsters, and you build a longhouse. About it.

for me personally the game is mostly solo experience. cuz i found that i can't really build stuff with others (i can't put design in their head, so 1 person will be building everything). and killing stuff is mostly easier alone too (you don't aggro more then you want and they have less hp so you can once-shot everything).
and i keep my interest by changing activities: sometimes i build. sometimes i explore. sometimes i grind resources(building stuff require A LOT of wood\stone). and sometimes i hunt bossess for fun (i even started a new world that had no access to eikthyr boss. which was also fun).

I think the biggest clue for me was the game releasing with a free dedicated server app, plus the design decision of letting you move characters (and worlds) freely between sp and mp.

Adding a second player doesn't really double your resource needs.
You don't need bigger bases, one person can gather or farm while the other's offline, and things like mining trips are far more efficient with a spotter and guard. Creatures get a small buff when facing two players but it's no match for backstab.

Who needs backstabs? I literally just punch ♥♥♥♥ to death. Weapons are for smellies.
