- Make spear
- Find deer
- Try to spear deer
- Repeat until victory
- Dance around for a bit in celebration
- Get killed by troll because you weren't paying attention
- Go back to death site
- Kill troll now
- Celebrate more
- Get killed by skeletons/draugr because its nighttime now

The point being, don't think about it too much and just be a wandering viking/caveman having fun.

If you need help finding crypts for surtling cores and you've given up exploring, punch your seed into this site and it will show you what you're looking for.

I like to build things. My current world is gradually filling up with full-service bases, small outposts, fenced farm plots and berry patches, lookout towers, seaports, and lighthouses, all connected by roads and trails. These activities take up a lot of time, but once these things are built, it is nice to have the transportation infrastructure and scattered bases. Even in the early game, it is possible to get a good start on this by developing the starting meadow area.

All of the maps I have played on so far have had extensive black forests. Unless you got unusually unlucky with your seed, there should be more than enough burial chambers to supply the surtling cores that you need at this stage. Three or four burial chambers should provide enough for a kiln, a smelter, and a few portals. While searching for burial chambers, remember to mark any copper deposits that you find on the map. If you find an area with three or four in close proximity to each other, you might want to build a smelter base nearby so that you can process the metal close to its source. You might need to dig a trench around the smelter base to keep the trolls away. It's even better if the copper deposits are close to the coast so that you can collect tin as well. Searching for a location like this is well worth the effort.

Play pokemon and run around capturing various creatures in Valheim.

Go into black forest and make a obstacle course high up in the pines.

If I wasn't building I was trying to find where the next upgrade will come from. Or replanting the farm.
Once you've figured out where surtling cores can be found the way forward will be clear. If you are bored by this point though, lord help you when it comes to mining copper. Get a spotify playlist ready.

Burail Chambers can be found throughout the Black Forest. Some have a below ground level entrance, and others look like a Stonehenge with a stone roof, both are usually guarded by 2 skeletons. Skeletons are very weak to blunt weapons, so make a club or mace to take with you. A torch is very handy, but if one does not pick the yellow mushrooms they provide enough light to see around. Make sure to check the ground and corners of rooms you enter as valuable gems are laying about, and go in with an empty inventory. You can also use the chests inside to hold non-valuable items to make room in your inventory. The chests generally contain flint-arrows, torch and gems.

If you're looking for surtling cores just look for small groups of skeletons (2-3 or so). At the stage of the game you're on they'll be guarding crypts which contain cores.

As far as boredom goes, I like to build and sail. Hopefully you can find some enjoyment through progression or otherwise! If not then maybe consider joining a server with others to find some inspiration.

Happy hunting!

Judging by your profile pic I assume you've played Terraria right? In that game you know that getting stuff meant exploring the unexplored, Valheim is pretty much in line with that idea.
