Mistlands I know why it is so Polarizing.. to me it makes Valheim more like Elden Ring
And some of us may not want that or ever thought we would see that. It is well designed, when you can see beautiful, scary, the npc's are on their game, the Overlords.... G guys are terrifying. But here is how and why it adds up to a Elden Ring experience some of us do not agree with.
1. It FORCES you and yes I mean Forces you to trim down to 300 enc if you want to see at all. And though I am all for mist it is too think, too limiting on vision, and we cant EVER clear it. Maybe if it was half again as far in visibility, or if you cleared a dungeon in this magic land it trimmed the mist an aggregate of the amount of dungeons in that area.. never fully clearing it.. or for each G you killed... something. I want to see a bit, I also want to see some of the beautiful things not afraid to say some people build some cool stuff and some stuff in mistlands is COOL as hell to bad it is so so so damn hard to see. That is number one.. the vision not nerfing mods, not any of the rest Visibility is the key to it being so hard to me. 2. The mobs can be hard ... would be fine with that again see above but all of this stacks..
3. 300 enc enough for my equip, some food, and maybe a portal we can do less than in the plains but you no have vision issues, difficult ( should be kept that way and maybe even un nerfed a bit if the rest is fixed) but the HARDEST terrain on stamina in the game!!!
4. They come out at night the mobs you need, so hardest terrain, lower encumbrance, limited visibility and now its night...
5, Stamina they are still a bit on the anal side when it comes to us building... should be no stam in my opinion, but also with all the other costs, jumping fighting.. oh and now its night and oh crap its raining!
6. There is still water and I disagree 100% on how mobs have no stam, do not have weapons but you get in water and poof I put my weapons away.
7. Add all this together and its like they either played Elden Ring recently and loved it and wanted to mimic some of that danger, or they WANTED us to have an exponentially harder time with less gear and items.

All good valid points. Plus the limited inventory space.
