world save stutters, yup

It could be graphics, the look is intentional and really only the textures are low grade - under the hood Valheim can still burn heavy GPUs.

Auto save is every 30 minutes, there is no options to adjust it. The more explored your world the longer a save takes, but there's a warning before it does it. The mistlands introduced save-like freezes every 10 minutes seemingly unconnected to autosave, which has been complained about a bit.

But yeah if it's more frequent it's probably something else again.

I get the occasional stutter now, it's from me running vulkan shaders on linux, which is really the only way I can get valheim to run (recent patch made vulkan shaders stuttery--I might see if I can force it to run compatibility mode for Glorious Eggroll 7.43), so it might be from world saves, might be something cutting in and out like audio but you don't notice it, update drivers, check integrity of files, etc.

Could really be anything. Just because I am also experiencing it, means that my problem could be different from yours

But since we are both suddenly encountering this same problem, I would imagine it's a driver issue or the recent update messed with some graphics performance.

Stutter? You mean when the ominous world save message tells you that in 30 seconds your PC is about to feel like a windows 95 machine trying to connect to dial up internet, unzip a large file, and play Quake II all at the same time?

Yeah, I know that stutter.

Glad it's not just me but it feels a lot more frequent than every 30 mins for sure.
