Character and world saves are (almost) completely independent in VH.
So your character got saved correctly but it seems your world didn't.

Are your save-files stored in Steams cloud? One could say IronGate's official recommendation is to not use the Steam cloud. Save locally if possible.

had you slept in a bed? when it actually saves the world and Character files
also the usual questions.. are u Vanilla or Modded..

i am playing vanilla without any mods, probably bugged out bc i close the game and steam without waiting for the save files syncronization

so you have no files in the locations i mentioned or just the Day 1 ..one

is kind of strange, i have the map with the locations i got so far, my gear is intact, the only thing strange from my file is that my boat is gona and my day timer is now 1 and not 40 or soo, idk what are going to be the repercusions
