if you have the swamp key rush to the crypts which are a lot less dangerous cause the enemies quite often get stuck, then get the iron from the muddy piles and start upgrading your gear, once you have iron the swamps not nearly as bad.

Poison resist mead is not required but it sure does help.

When dealing with archers the shield will serve you well. (or for dealing with anything, for that matter.) Advance while blocking and take them out with a mace. If they're in a tough spot, stand behind a tree and they will come to you.

Stay out of the water as much as possible. Leeches aren't hard to kill but they can sneak up on you.

Try to only explore the swamp during the day, to locate those crypts, and clear them at night.

Swamp is always in the dark and rains a lot maybe why its called swamp.

1: Do not ever go into swamp unless you have poison resistance potions.
2: Archers are easy enough to dodge if you watch them and start side stepping around them as soon as they draw their bow.

2 star enemies is just bad luck
really bad luck

in my experience the only trouble are leechs
slimes and draugr can be knockbacked with mace easily ;D

I just run around and don't kil(just push away)l, until I find the sunken crypt
when inside... I start killing, when spawner is close then I rush to destroy it

the only problem are archers inside of walls/mudpiles/textures
I can't reach them and they can shoot me ;-;

EAT. Don't ever go in on an empty belly or unrested at night. Make a throwaway shield or use an old one if your bronze shield is on your body. Pop your Eikthyr's before you dart in. You might be able to use a bow to draw them out one at a time too.

(And when you make it to a crypt, don't forget to put a workbench, portal to base and chest on top of it). Strip mine the whole damn thing, store iron ore in the chest on top and portal everything else back. Once done pack up and don't forget to mark the ore location or just take it right back to base.

you will get used to the swamp.
its not terribly scary, unless you are new to it or don't prepare for it.

food, potions, meads, equipment, shelters.

All of these things, can make learning the area much easier.

Your key is not lost, it is on your first body. Only the last death is shown on the map so its best to mark your corpse when you die as a just in case. You need the key so...

Avoid them. Plain and simple. Get your rested buff, stack up on food, jump through the portal, pop your power and off you go. Make sure you have enough space in inventory to one click e and you will take all in one go. At that point you have nearly a minute with massive damage reduction so should be fine to kite away. Find a safe spot and put your armour on. Then breathe.

Yep. less enemies, dark in the day but darker at night, and wraiths come out at night. But in the crypts it's the same day or night.

Yeah 2 star enemies do that. 2 star enemies in the hardest area of the game can't even be parried by the best shield thats why they only appear once every 5 hours.
