So what's the point of 4x parry bonus on Skoll and Hati?
You don't acquire it until Mistlands and with a parry of 15 (which is less than even fleshrippers) you can't actually parry anything in mistlands. (I couldn't even parry fulings and deathsquito's in the plains where i was testing it out) Being a 2h weapon you can't use a shield with it. Is it for multiplayer, can you get parry bonus when someone else does a parry?

I don't know about the parry, but I very rarely knifed with a shield anyway. Skoll and Hati is a very fast weapon even compared to other knives, it's like the new lag input nerf they gave to all the other weapons - they did the opposite to this thing. Even if you can't parry with it it's still amazing.
I'm going to have to go parry some stuff and see how I feel about it.

No clue what they are for. Junk if you ask me. Just get a black metal knife and use it with a shield/buckler unless you are only using them to swap to for the special attack and immediately swapping back.

I think you're looking at the wrong field. Block force is 15, but parry block armor, which I believe is what is used to determine if you successfully parry or not is a bit better than a silver shield, and you (I?) can definitely parry fulings and deathsquitos with a silver shield.
Maybe you don't have enough armor and/or health? I don't know for sure if that affects parry or just stagger, but that's all I can think of that could be the reason you can't parry with it.

I think that it does, in at least that if you're overcome with stagger by the attack your parry will fail. Maybe you don't have enough armor and/or health? I don't know for sure if that affects parry or just stagger, but that's all I can think of that could be the reason you can't parry with it.

I had carapace armor on and meat platter, omelette, salad as foods. Should have been good.

It'd probably be best to parry with a separate 1H weapon (mistwalker/jotun bane, etc.) and a carapace shield. Skoll and Hati always feels like more of a weapon to run with so that you have something for immediate defense that doesn't slow down your travel speed.
It's also pretty useful if you've got two bubbled skellies from the dead raiser while you get a seeker from behind. Otherwise, not really sure what the parry bonus is there for.

Omelette and salad are both stam foods, so your health was probably lacking. I had carapace armor on and meat platter, omelette, salad as foods. Should have been good.
I just went and parried a deathsquito, lox, fuling, seeker, soldier... Skoll and Hati work fine. Carapiece armour, chicken, platter, blood pudding.
I do use mods, but none that should affect my parry ability. I had 42 skill in knives.

If you have around 50 block skill your Skoll and Hati will have 30 block armor. Since the parry bonus is 4x that means a parry will have 120 block armor to mitigate the attack.
Here are a couple example cases for what you can parry. Keep in mind i actually used a low value for the dmg these creatures can do.
2* Seeker:
(200)^2/(4*120) = 83.3
83.3 / .4 = 208 MAX HP required to pass stagger check and succesfully parry. realistically doable only with 3 health foods.
1* Seeker:
(160)^2/(4*120) = 53.3
53.3 / .4 = 133.3 MAX HP Required to pass stagger check. Doable with 2HP/1Stam food.
For anyone who is unclear the stagger check happens by the game using a formula for converting incoming damage to stagger before mitigation. If you don't have enough max health or block armor to pass the stagger check your block/parry does NOTHING and its up to your worn armor to save your ass at that point.
So for the example above. If someone with Skoll and hati was running around with the standard 200hp/120stam loadout when they try to parry the 2* seeker they are going to suddenly be staggered and take around 100 dmg (if wearing max carapace/padded).
Edit: Also keep in mind that your stagger bar drains over time so it is possible that you could succesfully parry 2 hits and then you do not have enough remining free stagger bar for the third parry, resulting in you being staggered and taking a hit.
