So I was having rather an easy time of the mountains in full iron gear and then upgrading to silver. Even two wolves posed very little problem as long as I got my blocks off, and for the most part I'd hear them howling beforehand anyway so I was rarely caught off guard. Then just as I was caught in an awkward position in a ravine, trying to hop my way out, I 'got hunted'. Dear Lord.......... my buff from sausages was running out so I wasn't even at full 'swamp food' level. I always pack carrot soup, black soup and sausages for the mountain biome and up till now it's been more than sufficient.

So let me get this right............... these buggers can gank me anytime anywhere ? I'm in the habit of traipsing about the meadows looking for mushrooms and wood on only some deer meat and maybe some honey. Sometimes I don't even bother with that. So from now on no matter where I am I have to be incredibly well fed and be carrying all my best gear ? Crap.

I have no concerns about wolves attacking my base as they can't get in but getting murdered in the open like that at random isn't the most attractive proposition.

I wonder with enough stamina if the two handed mace might be a viable option ?
