It's intimidating to look at, but I have a lot less trouble dealing with an abomination than I do a Log Troll. The attacks are shorter range and easier to avoid/parry, and their path finding is far less direct/aggressive. An axe makes pretty short work of them. Fire arrows work, but frankly I think it's more of a waste compared to just dealing with the attacks and getting a chop or two in-between.

You can just wait for it to swing/stomp and then hit it with your axe as you sprint past. Repeat until you have toothpicks.

This boss is very intimidating when you first see it.. a bow with fire arrows, a decent ax and it becomes a joke. the pathing is absolutely busted... and it's moves are VERY slow and easy to anticipate and avoid.

... Oooor just climb on the shrine you summoned it at. Big hammer to knock the jumping slimes down.

Just kite it to a surtling spawn and let the fire roast it.

+1 to burning it at a surling spawn. It's incredibly fast. You might even end up feeling bad for the abomination.

With a level 3 bronze buckler you can safely parry their horizontal swipe attack. Pair that with a bronze axe/sword and you have a 40 second abom kill.

Why don't you just shield parry it with a level 3 buckler and then hack at it with an axe while it is stunned?
