Really depends on your hardware as well. There are also videos on Youtube on how to eke more fps out of Valheim, but understand that it is not very optimized as of yet, and that the post processing effects are quite processing intensive. Try turning those off first.

But again, it all depends on your hardware.

Check your video card settings. It may possibly be restricting in game changes.

Have you checked the in game fps limiter? maybe try setting it manually if its on unlimited.

Are you playing with a monitor or a TV? What is the max fps of your screen?

Make sure that triple buffering is enabled in your GPU control panel. If you are using v-sync, have a 60/120hz refresh, and are not using triple buffering, when you drop below 60fps your FPS will snap to 30.

I faced the same problem and I fixed it about 5 minutes ago. There is how I solved it;

Right click on Valheim in your Library and choose Properties.

In General, there is a tab named Launch Options. Write “ -windows-mode exclusive -screen-fullscreen “ this here and close the Properties.

Launch the game. This should be helpful, I hope.
