Sleeping on a dedicated server

I logged off last night and my friend was still playing on my server when night fell and they couldn't sleep. Is sleeping disabled on a dedicated server?

Ok, I was using Daycycle as a mod to adjust then length of day and night as I thought they cycled way too fast. I installed that same mod on the server and tried again with no luck but I did have dreams but the night never changed. I also was unable to repair. I removed that mod from both game client and dedicated server and everything appears to be working again and I can repair. However, I would still like to be able to lengthen the day and night cycles. Anyone know of a way to do this without breaking the game?

No, the dedicated server is the host. When you join you are still a separate client. I play solo on my computer and host the dedicated server on my girlfriend's computer without any sleeping issues.

I'm going to guess it was just a bug, and maybe restarting the server would've fixed it.

Yes. Sorry. You are correct. I run the server on another computer in my house. and I did restart it and I personally tried to sleep and all that happens is a black screen. Now. I don't run mods on the server but I use the VR mod, he HD mod and a time scale mod as does my friend. could those cause the issues? Especially the timescale mod?

Sleeping should work but everyone has to sleep. If you couldn't I would suspect someone was on they didn't know about?
