One thing you want to do is make a lot of obsidian arrows for the Mountain Boss. Either that, or play around the edges of the Plains to hunt deathsquitoes to make needle arrows.

I mean.. you'd be skipping the best looking armor to go straight for what I think is the worst looking armor. Also you need silver for the best bow in game and also for the best spear if you're a spear main.

nah take it easy minning silver , u dont need so much , anyway u have to return to swamps because plains armor set needs normal iron too, blackmetal are only for weapons less the mace

The game has a pretty linear progression in terms of gear. There are not many choices to be made. It's leather -> bronze/troll -> iron -> silver -> padded. Always the same.

I don't know what your capability is. Maybe you can. I would not care to try it in bronze, but people have done most, maybe all, of the game in troll hide, so ...

you are in the mountains and it takes a while to find all the bits to summon it anyway. Why not upgrade your stuff?

I would suggest to get all the silver armor. It's the best looking armor in the entire game. You really look like a proper Viking in that one. And silver is also super fast to mine. Just make sure to look for a very large Mountain biome so you can find lots of silver veins. For me, I got a full set very very fast (couple of hours tops).

Silver/wolf armor. That will put you in a good spot to start checking out the plains for resources.
You want to save your iron for the level after that.

Honestly that's the main reason I need a big expansion. The current top tier kit is a classic MMO clown suit.

You can go full silver for better odds against Moder, or you can try to just make the bare essentials and hold out for a set of padded. I always make full silver, either way max frostner and max draugr for sure.

Silver armor is arguably the most stylish armor in the game. Especially the helmet.
