after Bonemass the game expects you to have caught the hang of it, meaning you should know by instinct what to do next, and if you don't, go explore for yourself. its sort of a trap for newbs, as they are likely to enter plains before mountains and get rekt.

but yeah anyway, 4th and 5th boss you gotta find on your own.
the last tip Hugin gives is the one about the wishbone and if i am not mistaken, he tells you where to find silver, so unless you skip his tip you shouldn't end up in plains instead of mountains.

I hadn't seen birdie in a good while. Came across 1st dungeon in Black Forest. Raven shows up.. says something like. "There are crypts and dungeons all throughout (wherever we are is called). They hold treasures, be sure to bring a light"

He will appear when you kill the third boss and later when you build a hot tub.

there are only about 15 or so tips and 12 or 13 of those are day-1 things.

He appeared to me after I built my 3rd or 4th shield and said, "Congratulations! You built a shield."

Hugin just give begginer tips , not new biome advises .... When he should...

He doesn't appear the way you would think. It's mostly just to get you oriented with the world. I don't think its healthy to talk to birds anyhow.

He only shows about for me when I am about to die.
