The only interesting things in ML are lit up, which you can see from up high. The clear areas are only of interest if you want to see the vistas, which some seem to want to do, or build, since it's easier to build in the clear areas.

Others have figured out how to get around just fine, so continuing to say that it's unplayable is just pointless.

It's really not pointless, because it's unplayable and needs to be fixed. Pretending everything is fine is pointless.

I've really been enjoying Valheim again due to Mistlands... Exploring feels good when there's new unseen content. The mobs and terrain have been a nice challenge and I'll admit to ranting and raving over 5-6 consecutive deaths at times needing a naked run in to reclaim my stuff.

It has issues, but overall it fits into the game really well IMHO.

Not liking something and something being broken and unplayable are different. I myself hate the swamp too, but I can play it. The mistlands however are broken, because it's impossible to see.

It is not impossible to see. There are large portions of ML where there is no mist. They give you multiple tools to clear the mist, or, if you want a wider vista, you can climb a rock and get above the mist pretty much wherever you are.

Well I would be happy If you could walk the terrain with feeling like a smoking mountain goat (not enough stamina)

Feathered cape should be able to be gotten within the first 30 mins of exploring this biome.. with that exploring is fun again but it comes WAYYYY too late. You are basically at boss fight by the time you get it.

Disagree. I'm at least 10 - 15 hours into mistland and only just got the feather cape. Up till now, exploring this new biome has been hard, daunting, but very fun. It is true that there has been a difficulty jump, but this is what keeps the game fresh and rewarding.

Replace "the people" with "me" and it's all good. Not everyone can like every biome. I still don't like the Swamp nor Black Forest but I'm not going to cry about it and never have.

There's a suggestions & ideas sub forum for the game, why not use it and give some constructive ideas on how to improve the situation instead of just complaining without a point? Could also post in an existing ranting thread instead of opening the third one within the same day. Maybe these threads should be merged.

I've probably explored more mistlands on my seed than any other biome now.. I find it the most rewarding biome so far for exploration...

It is your personal problem if you can't stand the opinion of other players. No need to tell others how and where they should express themselves and - hopefully - let the devs know what is going wrong.

It's about the core of the game. Valheim (for me) is exploring, grinding materials and building. Mistlands takes the fun out of all three points. Especially the mist itself and that they force the players to jump and jump and jump - wait for stamina - and jump and jump and jump - wait for stamina .... without seeing what's next - that's why Mistlands - oh sorry - only for me of course - is crap.

And it's not about difficulty. It's about how annoying they designed the whole biome. Go 25 meters in any direction and you will again be surrounded by cliffs. meh...

Standing on those cliffs leaves you nearly unprotected against attackers. No place to dodge, no chance to hit the attacker because he's slightly below or above you which makes your hits missing every time.

Constructive suggestions? hm... work on a new biome that's not 90 % cliffs and without mist that don't let you see anything more than 15 meters around you ...

But the Mistlands has highland and lowland? You can stick to the lowlands for much of the Mistlands unless you are specifically looking for Yggdrasil wood.

It's not any different from Mountain and various dungeons in other biomes in that regard.

There, now, that wasn't so hard, was it? It's not great but it's something. Fortunately for you, Valheim biomes don't really repeat after each other. Each biome will be different experience.

Nah, Mistlands are fine. Sure it takes some time to figure out how to deal with it but I did it in a few weeks and I'm not that good.
