Magic

I love you all and am a complete fan boy ...except it breaks the heart a lil that we can't use magic from the start of a fresh character.

I know the game is not complete and I have great hopes that future content will put in lesser staffs, or what have ya, and lesser ways to have mana regen.

I get it, I think, at a point you all were not even gonna do "magic", so if I recall correctly this is a really nice add and is appreciated. However access to it so (what feels to be) late game is ok, but would be better if there was a way to start on a fresh character with it.

I am not sure I want to put down my Axe that has sundered the Plains, to pick up the staff.

There's still 2 more biomes to come. I suspect magic will become a late game core mechanic that can be upgraded.

Would be fun to have magic earlier but it's also nice to have something completely new later in the game, but really I just wanted to say: I don't think anyone but some people in the forums have said "there'll be no magic".

Yeah, it would be fine if there were some low fantasy elements, like a druidic pole/stuff that gives you ability to heal like a shaman etc, even raising the dead would be fine if it was limited. But things that throw fire balls and spawn blobs or hovering monsters that cast lazer beams....
Oh, did i forgot those dwarf mages? I mean i was expecting dwarves to be more of a warrior-type race that are master blacksmiths/runesmiths, not wearing robes and pointy hats while casting spells using a big staff... Magic could fit well with elves.
