new build, small realistic home from a pic
I wanted to get away from skyscraper castles/towers and all and go back to a small cozy home concept.
I was inspired by this image:

which I am not sure if it is a recreation or a surviving structure that has been preserved or something else entirely, but nonetheless, its what I picked.
It needs some decoration inside and out still, and things like upstairs needs chests.
But its livable now.

Inside, the crafting and resting bonus clutter is almost all buried under the house.
The stations are complete, rested is 17 (no maypole).

I like my skyscrapers in my main base.
My outposts (in each biome and at the bosses) do look like your examples, just „tiny“ builds.

What I found is towers are fun to make but aggravating to live in. I don't like going up and down 5+ levels when I want to go from repairing to cooking to making ammo etc.

Yeah, the towers are more or less built for fun and to see how high i can build, but all crafting and cooking facilities are in the middle long house with basically 2 floors (low floor for all crafting benches and related storage and upper floor for maxed out comfort as a living room)

My current playthrough I built the Raventhorpe Longhouse from Assassins creed valhalla! Its badass.. So far one of my fav builds ive done

Yes, that would be neat. I crossmapped the important floors (yes, it has unimportant floors, including a big trophy room in the middle, bad design is bad) with teleports but that is also a little annoying.
