Border line I'd guess. I have run it on a 1030 GT at a typical 25-30 in non built up areas. Your GTX should be playable but its not gonna be much over 30 I would guess if at all?

A mountain snow storm will kill the card I have no doubt :(

i would like to comment on both of your posts. One of the most important factors about this game is not your video card, it is the CPU. What kinda cpu ya'll got?

Edit to say, The snow is less graphical and adds wayyy more CPU processing thus, based on the second post from Zath, this is what made me ask this question.

Thanks for the reminder Imhotep. I have a n older i5 3.2 Ghz but since swapping a 1050Ti GTX in the snow storms don't drop me below 40fps so I merely assumed that had done the trick. On the 1030 GT it couldn't get in to double figures in a snow shower...

The GPU is only as powerful as your processor supports. What model i5 3.2, how many cores? i.e i9 13900f is the newest i9. What about your i5?

its a Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3350P CPU @ 3.10GHz Ivybridge so a bit long in the tooth for sure !
Sorry the wifes is a 3.2 we got them at about the same sorta time.

Based upon the minimum requirements for the game it should run the game, and recommended. However there are several factors that align with this. If you do meed the recommended or minimum requirements but barely, yeah it might not run as expected even as the recommendations state. The reason why is because there still might be extra processes running in the background taking up that brain power. Have we ensured inside of task manager that we don't have like a bajillion background apps running? i know right now if i were to go look at my sons task manager my eyes would pop out of my head and thor would strike me down.

Haha I'm not a noob at computers, I'm actually a programmer. However, in recent years, new games have become more and more demanding on the GPU, and I have to worry.

i understand that. This game is mediocre GPU intensive and savagely CPU intensive. Maybe try turning down view distance? O.O i dunno.

I still haven't purchased the game, and with your reply, it seems like I don't have to worry anymore.
