Mods?

There have been quite a few threads where the solution was to disable mods (because they are incompatible with the new version) ... and some threads where removing the mods wasn't enough and that "residual" mod bits and pieces are fouling things up and need to be manually found and deleted. Check your mods if any, my friend had some on & had the same problem as you. I don't mod though, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

almost every mod is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ now, can only play it with very few mods or none. If u want go to valheim in steam library, right click it, properties, betas, and set to DEFAULT_OLD and u revert to older update that is stable with mods.

i had this issue too. i kept crashing after world creation. i put my game into windowed mode and created the world, and didnt touch anything. I just left it there and after a few minutes it loaded in. if you click or tab out its gonna crash

Thanks for all the help...I removed all mods...removed all worlds and characters...deleted the valheim folder...uninstalled the game...restarted my PC...re-installed the game...verified the files...started up the game...new character created, made a new world, hit start and NOTHING...absolutely nothing, just sat there watching the game do nothing at all. If i could get a refund due to this debacle I would. Sad, just freaking sad.

What you mean with nothing? It can take a while to generate a world.
