Good to know, and to keep in mind as we do have wolves (and, obviously, fire) in our multiplayer world. Thanks.

And yeah, it's good fire in this game doesn't spread or burn things other than characters and NPCs. The fact it does hurt is enough realism for me, especially since there are fire arrows and torch-wielding fulings.

From what I've seen they've really upped the pyrotechnic disaster potential in the game, Icarus. All sorts of stuff burns - structures, trees, wildlife, people. We should count our 'blessings'. lol

I lost a whole pack like this once. had about 5-6 with 1 cub. came back from a few in game day trip farming and i had 2 wolfs and 1 cub left. wasn't sure what happened since all the meat/skins de-spawned. I eventually figured it must have been my hearths. I put up a half wall around them.
haven't lost a wolf since. They aren't very smart.

My first wolf (Spot) died like that! Tamed him took him into the cabin, and he walked into fire, then proceded to run round the cabin, carefully running through the fire on each lap so he never actually went out, get the old adage is true of wolves as well as people, make a wolf a fire and he is warm for a night, set a wolf on fire and he is warm for the rest of his life!:steamfacepalm:
