Go ti the ring of stones at your spawn point . Go to the correct stone there and when it activates it says to press 'E'

ok i done it you have to look right at the hook

I think you just walk up to the shirne and hit use with it in your inventory. But if it's like hanging trophies on item stands and activating boss battles, you need it on a hotbar number and press that number. I just can't remember which way it is atm.
