Assuming this on the basis that it's the anniversary of public release. They might not make that date because reasons, but it's a fair bet they're gonna try.

They said that the update is finished and they are currently testing it. It could be up any day within the next two weeks. So i guess anniversary date is the best one to put a bet on.

Actually one day before would be funnier because it would make any "only one update per year" criticism technically lies.

The far north would a biome on its own. That means it will be developed on at a later date. I surmise with the Mistlands biome being added sometime later this year, it will give the devs another storm of bugs to be reported on. With that, I surmise the far north stuff will perhaps come at a different year.
