[Solved] Is it normal not to find silver in two whole mountains?

I'm sure this is asked a lot, we just got our wishbones and ran across two large mountains without it signalling even once. Is that really normal? Are we doing sth wrong?

Depends if those mountains are "big enough". Some islands have a relatively tiny mountain areas so you'll have better luck by exploring other mountain areas on other islands.

And this might sound stupid, but check if the bone is actually equipped.

Did you see any obisdain? If not the mountains weren't tall enough to spawn silver.

I see! We did find Obsidian on one of the two mountains, but no silver. (And a treasure that couldn't be retrieved other than some bones, seemed buggy...)

I guess I'll try this big third mountain we found. The height of the mountain matters then huh? This one is high af so sounds promising then :P

Found some! It was high up in a mountain. Seems there is indeed a requirement for the mountain to be rather tall..!?

Oh, so it was just meant to be bones there?
We excavated forever and nothing happened, so we went away. When we got back there were no sonar sounds any more. Oh well. Good to know, thanks.

And thanks everybody :)

Define "large". Swamps and mountains need to be quite sizable to spawn crypts and silver mines...

Swamps need to be fat/round but can still only have one crypt.. swamps can be weird as in long strips typically won't have any etc.

Silver is above obsidian.
Stone golems are the proper altitude for sure. Only had one world out of 20 that had a one peak mountain that was just high enough for the golem but no silver.. don't think there was room for both? Big enough mountain but lacking "range" to offer spawn points.

But that is rare. Pretty much if you see stone golems there is silver around that altitude and above.
