from what ive learnt from the most braindead hunt ever, the game spawns 1star + groups more frequently at night

when theres a snowstorm + nighttime, youll have larger groups of wolves spawning more frequently unless i was just getting "luckier" during snow storms

but as soon as i switched mountain to a mountain which had pre-built stone circle structures and log cabin, i found a 2 star wolf almost instantly

heres where i found mine, fairly high but not at the very top

farther from center of map supposedly has more *s. If no one said.

i watched a video on it and it took him many nights of searching like atleast 10 and when he found one he couldnt tame it before day and it ran away or became untamable so he had to find another one. point is make sure u tame it same night because for him it ran away, keep in mind i have never done it myself.

2 star spawns are about 1% of spawns. 2 star wolves only spawn at night.

I think it´s just rng.

and they will despawn at day light unless they have started taming. Wolves have particular spawn points that you can identify. You can go from spawn point to spawn point to check for starred wolves and if you find no star wolves you can cull them and come back before sunrise to see if starred wolves have respawned.
