Doesn't the normal way of dropping things work if you move to a new server? Just drag the item from the inventory to the viewport portion of your screen I mean.

Yes anything you carry on your person can be taken to any world.

You can put stuff in boxes or click and drag items to toss them on the ground.

Anyone can use your old stuff. Anything can be shared between any worlds you create or go to.

Game is very nice that way.

There may be mods for that. Most people play in small groups with people they trust so it isn't too much of an issue to set up rules. I guess it depends on your friends.

From what I understand, it is not currently possible to do this. The inventory is currently player based, not server based. Reason for this is that if you remove someones item now, they also loose it everywhere else too. As much as I understand your problem, it would be a bigger problem if someone invites players just to troll with them by removing all their items.
