I plan to restart after each big update. Think of it as seasons. Ill still keep my old worlds of course but only have stuff from that current version in. So my new hearth and home seed, will only have original and h&h stuff.

But from what I can see, there is very little new added to the game, why restart over that?

Except I don't consider this a big update...certainly not enough to start a new run for. I'll keep playing something else until they provide some real content to chew on.

Very small changes to the world, not sure it's "worth" a fresh start, that being said... I enjoy playing "Hardcore" (if I die, I delete the character and the world).
Trying to get surtling cores with just 1 armor (beginner armor) from burial crypts is not a good idea: you don't get nearly as much FAT HP GAINS from early game foods.

I've already enjoyed the game on a casual play through, I'm enjoying it on a more cautious play through now.

No way am I restarting. Chances are I will have to start other worlds just to use them to gather resources that won't spawn in my current map. I've spent WAY too many hours building up my viking village that I enjoy spending time in.

I really hope that the Devs can figure out a way to get new items to spawn in already 'mapped' zones. That's probably a lot of work for them though, being it took months to add this 'update'.

I started a new game with the same map seed. I'm tearing everything down from the old and moving it to the new ( no need to grind for mats this way ). Now I can rebuild in better spots and not make the same mistakes as the last time.

How? If youre talking about stamina and food, they buffed food and lowered stamina usage for bows, a day after the update

No, because I want to understand server management through version updates and keep up with the available tools. Putting a bullet in the save every time is simple and boring.

Well i stopped plaing 3 Months ago. So for me a fresh game is a fresh game.
Btw the seed erdheim was not so good as i hoped. Now i try "Doom" nice island south of the start and good placed trader and Bosses

Absolutely. Got a map seed I love to use for solo play and have zero issue with starting fresh after 8 months of waiting. (Already have actually. lol)

we're here to play test... both restarting and not are important to finding issues.
