My home is on the plains, which is a thin long strip between mountains and the ocean. My home is about in the middle of the thin long strip and I have 2 pits that spawned on on side and 3 on the other. Makes the plains pretty annoying actually. On the bright side though, i had tons of lox regularly spawning near my home, so they occasionally rampage the oil pits and kill everything for me.

If you did that yesterday on a dedicated server. Than it was a bug. Should be good by now.

It was on my single player world today since the last patch.

Had to look for 4 entire plain biomes (2 old 2 new) to get only one pit.

when the next update hits you're gonna have to start over lol. Kinda lame that we essentially get punished for exploring between updates.

A mod is already out that adds them to already explored areas, so it's possible.

It's understood why, but it's still frustrating.

There are enough tools to get back on the old status in 1-2 Hours
