If you don't like grinding resources

I noticed in the reviews a lot of players don't like grinding the resources. I too am not a fan of slow resource collection so I would like to recommend to anyone with the same feelings that you get Valheim+ from github. There are good videos on youtube on how to get it from the website and how to use it. You can set loot drops very high and alter stamina use and regen and a host of other quality of life factors. I honestly wouldn't play this game without + after using it. I hope this helps some of you that are loosing interest because of the grind. Also you can set to use portals to transport ores and stuff you couldn't without Valheim+.

That's why it's grindy. They make it slow and repetitive in order to stretch the game and make it feel longer and more complete, which imo isn't a good thing. But hey, Valheim is still on the works so maybe in the future we'll have less repetitiveness and our playtime will be filled with actual entertainment.

For some other people without the grind makes the game boring.

I used cheats before hearth and home and it ruined the game for me.

Now playing the game again with no cheats or mods it just feels better. Every time I get a trophy it feels more valuable and all the items you need to build with it doesn't feel like your wasting your time as much.

if you can just build whatever you want without having to collect resources theirs better games for building but I actually enjoy having to gather everything myself and having to earn all the trophies, it gives just a bit more of an achievement feel.

Yeah, just dont play the game and use the dev commands to pass you the mats, its not like fighting for mats is a gameplay option... I get its a pain, but thats the point working to the equip,
If you didn't have to grind for mats, why play the bloody game ?

If you don't like grinding for resources, maybe this entire GENRE isn't for you. Don't play survival games that take time intentionally, don't play turn based games that are slow, etc. Seriously, if you want a game that pumps your blood for you, don't play Valheim. Go play an action game.

Wow man, what is your problem? Why does it matter to you how someone plays a game? Especially a single player game. If they want to put on God mode and go instantly kill all the bosses, that is their prerogative.

Don't blame the devs for mods breaking your saves or worlds or computer.

Probably has to do with the fact this is an awesome game people want to play. Many have already beaten all the content released by the devs, so they are looking for more.

Well I do understand the motivation behind people wanting to mod the game... that isn't what I was asking. I was wondering what motivation people have to start a discussion that is literally just an advertisement.

I literally quit trying and just entered creative mode. Now I can just enjoy building and not think about what poor forest is going to fall.

I’m glad the developers made the game the way it is. I never would have enjoyed the game if it was that easy and fast.

I’m glad you are enjoying the game with mods though.
