strip mining
I'm trying to dig underneath a copper vein to break it all at once, but I've hit some sort of limit for how deep I can go. Is there any way to go deeper, or is this something that's hardcoded into the game?

Hard coded. Can only go a certain distance below (and above) the grounds starting point.
(Edit: Although there may be mods that change it up.. not much into modding side)
