Need help with bug - Google can't find it
I am not sure when this happened but I started a new game about a month ago. Every new game I start I have the equipment from my last game in my inventory. I delete the game on my computer, then go through the Registry Editor and delete everything that has Valheim referenced and I delete it. Everything.
No matter what I do the items from my old inventory show up. The frustrating thing is when I start a new game I beat the first boss and then I get the antler to mine. Now, every time I pull out a new antler or an antler from an old game I get the message "What do you want to mine" as I stand over Cu. Um, I want to mine the Cu, duh!
My questions:
1. How can I do a complete uninstall. I do have a lot of computer experience and I need some help.
2. Is there a "DevCommand" that can get me past this so I can play the game? I just want to play at this point. I can't reformat my computer at this time.
3. What are the next steps?

You have to use the "hard antler" to make a pick axe.

And those who have commented previously are correct in that you can create new worlds and you can create new characters, if you want a new world with a new character you need to make both.

Sigh, that did fix my current problem. Thank you! I was wrapped up with my old characters equipment. I don't want to take away you did fix my issue but I do want to understand why my old equipment was always on new characters. But honestly thank you, I was stuck in my head

If you keep choosing the same character each new game, you will keep your equipment. Others can correct me if i am wrong. Can either make a new character or store all your items in a box on your old game and make the char naked, then start a new seed/game.

I think you mean character name. I have changed the character name and changed the name of the Game as well. I have changed everything each time I try.

No, you are not wrong daggath.
Characters are not tied to a world. You can, for example, fill your inventory with iron in one world and bring the iron to another world.
What is really irritating is the "what do you want to mine" message. Never seen that. Do you use mods, Slick?

Do you have steam saved turned on?
Though if you start a new character on a new world you shouldn't have equipment from the last game on your person.
You can also try stripping the character down removing all items from their person let the world save happen and then delete thing.

No, no mods at all. That is why I am surprised I have been seeing this message for a month now after at least 10 times trying to delete the game and delete through RegEdit. I deleted all my stuff from the last game and now even with everything deleted from the old inventory I started a new game and had a great seed and when I got the antler, I got the same message... I have not been in a situation where Google can't find the same error message. I can't imagine I am the only one
