Yeah, the low res textures have their own appeal and the game looks really good for what it is. There are some things that look worse with high res textures. Ever see those minecraft packs that go a little too far? It looks pretty bad with the blocky world. I think the highest that can go is 64 bit before it really does more harm than good.

This game is beautiful in its own right.

Modders alter existing code, where as developer's create code FROM SCRATCH.

Also, hopefully you may eventually figure out that game mechanics > graphics 7/24/365.

I like graphics. I don't like the lack of gameplay. Few weapons, few armor, few building blocks. There are few monsters that you can kill and hang their head on the castle wall. Vikings miss entertainment.

Modders haven't done anything to the game. What are you talking about? Name one thing that modders have done to makes the game as amazing as you say. The game is still in development, and when it's completely done, it will have better "textures".
