Somehow I haven't had any lag, besides world saves (during the Elder fight that really messed me up)

Greylings in Meadows. They keep showing up whenever i'm doing something. one of these days i may end up inadvertently kill off the entire species because they just won't go away when i'm mining or chopping wood.

Hunger and overconfidence

Started a new game recently. New seed, nothing taken from old one. Ran across troll. Thought, I can take this big blue ♥♥♥♥♥. They're easy, just gotta block at the right time. Nope. Blocked the first shot, two hits. Did ♥♥♥♥ all for damage. Then, he one shot me.

Hunger: I always seem to pick fights when my food buffs are gone, and I wasn't paying attention.

I will admit trees are really challenging sometimes, mainly because you can forget about food while foresting easily when your swatting greylings with ease. Then a tree falls in the wrong direction and *whelp*.
I have yet to kill an abomination because i haven't gone to a swamp since update, so not sure on those. Creature-wise the bane of my existence has to be the tar pit oozes, I attempt to close distance on them before i agro, because of their ranged capacity.... but damn once they start spewing its all luck.

Honestly? Greylings. Anything comes around that is an actual threat or serious annoyance will get me focused, but greylings are gnats that will forever bother me to the point of rage quitting. They do no damage yet flock in droves just to seemingly test your patience.

Not really. Simply approach pits cautiously, pull one at a time using your bow and backtrack, as they get closer they will hop, land, then spew at you, then pause. It is a repeated pattern and easy to use against them. As they land merely strafe to one side and diagonally closer. Repeat until you can close to melee range and stomp them with an iron mace or better.

Karves. At first you think you're on a real boat but once you're out on the ocean you realize you'd be better off with a rubber ducky.

The screen shaking. First time I summoned a boss I almost puked!

Ducking wraith. I *always* tangle with them way earlier than I have any business trying to and then I end up getting the whole group of us killed over and over again as a cascading loss of bodies and secondary (and tertiary) sets of gear begins...

"We'll come help you get your stuff back!" they say...

Falalala, off on my Karve to go get to work on my REAL base, hold full of Surtling Cores and Ingots and the storm begins. Then I hear it... "SCREEEEEEEEE" of a sea serpent in day.

Me: "...but it was such a nice voyage when I started it..." *drowns*

I was new in the swamp, ready to take on some zombies. As I am about to fight them, a graydwarf wanders into the area, knocks me into some kind of circular ruin pit, the zombies attack, I cannot fight them because I cannot move in the water in the bottom of the pit.
