As someone that uses V+, and basically finds the game borderline unplayable without it: The devs are making a game for everyone, not for the minority that uses mods. While they shouldn't seek to intentionally break mods, they have no obligation to work around them. Mods are controlled entirely by individuals or groups beyond their control, and expecting them to continue creating the game while trying not to step on the toes of modders is a naive and selfish demand.

At that point, you're literally telling the developers to stop developing so the modders can finish making the game. This isn't a Bethesda title!

The Valheims Devs are not responsible for mods breaking nor making sure they work after every update. that's the Modders responsibility.

No I'm not. I'm asking them to leave specific versions selectable in BETA opt in menu in order that people that are running mods on that version can stay with that version instead of being locked out altogether.

Also V+ hasn't been updated in some time. that mod is not working because they can not update it due to their lead stopping work on it. and they are required to upload updates.

I use V+ as well, but its been disabled for some time now because its broken.
Use a different mod(s). its what I'm doing.

Thank you for the positive input and help. Much appreciated. I downloaded Valheim plus as a single install. Where would I go about updating BepinEx in isolation?

All I've ever done in terms of valheim plus is edit the bepinex config itself to specify parameters for the playthrough. Any further help or links to potential solutions would be greatly appreciated. My son and I are in the middle of a playthrough at the moment and it's nice to have that quality time with him.

It was actually stated in a past update that they left the stable versions up, if you go to the beta options you can select the old stable build till the mods update, i use a ton of mods for building purposes, and doing that, mine worked just fine, without having the need to update my mods yet cause they need time.

Whatever medium you're using as your modding, either thunderstores suggestion or r2modman, i use the latter, will have the ability to update the mods if you go to your list. If youre not using it third party, then you'll have to directly download it from thunderstore or the like.
