I have heard of someone apparently spawning in a new world on a new new character and running into a troll metres from the stones. But this was ages ago so I'm pretty it's luck of the draw man. Rng being random

another question have you heard anything about the first boss not being on spawn island. cause it looks like it to me and i dont want to look up the map seed online cause that ruin the exploration

First of all, the starting area, the circle of stones has never been any sort of safe place, and generally Greylings very often come running right from the moment the player is dropped there. This is not a new thing.

2nd... You start the game with a torch.... the Greylings are made of wood and are scared of the torch.... Just equipping the torch causes the Greylings to stop attacking you directly and instead run around crazy trying to avoid the flame... You can use the torch as a weapon as a few hits causes them to burn up and die.

Dead Greylings drop resin upon death so use that and make another torch so you have backups.

Every map is different and random... There is no mechanic in place that prevents bosses from being on the first main island, just as there is no mechanic in place that would ensure bosses ARE on the first main Island.

Iv'e seen seeds such as "Irongate" which starts the player on a VERY tiny island, isolated from everything aside from a few deer, boars and necks, and requires the player craft a raft to even reach the first boss across water too far to swim.
Iv'e aslo seen seeds where all the bosses (and merchant) are easily within running distance from the spawn point, including a troll cave within shooting distance from the spawn area..
