Why do we use draugr intestines for sausage making instead of from boars? SICK

Also, those leech blood sacks? The only thing that might have blood in the swamps is draugr. That's draugr blood. SICK!

Its funny to think of because in Norse Mythology Drougrs are fallen Vikings who were burried in mounds. So we are cannibalizing our fallen brothers...

As M.Red said, it's just a video game. I think the devs simply have to pick and choose what would be sensible - from a gameplay standpoint - for crafting requirements. I remember that in Ark, spoiled meat is used for a bunch of stuff that seemingly wouldn't make sense in the real world either. Entrails from Draugrs can be farmed or simply accumulated very easily via Iron grinding, so it's actually great that they are used for sausages since you're likely to have tons of Entrails. It's just what is available. And perhaps sausages requiring boar meat only would be too easy for early game. Just my opinion.

Draugur in viking lore have corporeal body so maybe they are using other animal parts as part of their body to replace their missing body parts that rotted away?

Lol. I know it's just a game. But compared to other games where you craft and eat food, it is particularly gross. It's like some Ren & Stimpy-level ♥♥♥♥. "Here Ren! Try this sausage I made." "Wow Steem-pee! What did you use to make this delicious sausage?" "Zombie intestines!!" "*Ren spits everywhere*" "YOU EEDIOT!! YOU TRYING TO KILL ME??"

Way better than eating cans of dog food in Mad Max <I can't, so I just don't play that game>

And really we are zombies anyway so eating other undead body parts for food makes about as much sense.

And leeches probably get blood from other things they eat like boar / fish whatever ends up in the water... Don't think drauger even have blood since they are undead? The greydwarves probably don't either seeing as they are Ent children....

dont know
how can be it cannibalism when we are also a fallen warrior?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

and still: its a game, meant to throw the every day realism overboard and take one off this planet (not for real ya know)

if one cant stand the thoughts about the cooking ingredients, then one might think about:
do the creatures start a forum about similar things when ones time has come?

imho realism should stay in the real world we are all interacting with - games are not meant to be that way nor will we able to fully create a game with complete realism as everything in a gaming enviroment is just a guess or simulation from a real life situation.

so allmost every gaming hero will die in 8 minutes because the hero cant breath
(8minutes is the overall time before the brain stops working due the lack of oxygen)

the world is not just Coozie,Coozie in wonderful plushie land

just humble opinions
please dont take that personally

There are a couple things in the world, like the way food so drastically affects your abilities in the short term and how dangerous wolves are, that make me think that perhaps everything we see in Valheim is a projection of the viking's own experiences and beliefs. After all, a viking could fantasize about fighting and defeating all manner of mythical creatures, but wolves are very real and a threat that can't be ignored. So the draugr intestine for sausage and blood leeches for pudding and potions; it's all very metaphorical I think. But I dunno, that's just my take on it.

We could need intestines from boars and another ingredient from draugrs indeed, but the way the game is designed is to have tier-like geographical zones, equipment and resources, with few overlapping (wooden walls, pukeberries, ...). I hope this will change a little in the future, but how could they remove draugr intestines now that everyone got accustomed to them? Yummy!
