Seems cut and dry to me. For the record I think it's fine to dislike Valheim because of whatever reason (too many greydwarfs at night, certain enemies being too hard to beat if you accidentally run across them, you don't like the health and stamina rework, etc) but once a mod says to stop posting certain topics it's best to obey that order. If you don't like it then go to the higher ups and complain about discrimination or whatever rather than continue to make new discussions about the same topic that got closed or discussions such as "oh no, I dislike Valheim and the mods hate me".

Iron Gate Studios employees are moonlighting as unpaid Steam forum moderators? My imagination isn't quite that robust.

so everything aside the poster has not broken any ToS, its just a an fustrated post about content drops. we all want mistlands and we all wait. is it slow? (omg yes, arguably too slow, i wont go into a content break down and how long it really takes a team to create said content) but all we can do is just....well...wait 'shrugs'.

As much as I love this game I as well sadly see it as abandoned. I am giving it to the end of year then moving onto something else. I also got my moneys worth so no hard feelings either way.

I love this game too, but Mistlands update when it drops is obviously going to be the first of its kind, a whole new biome to explore. Not only that, but they seem to be expanding on other aspects of the game also like ships, fishing, & new building pieces & new weapons as it seems from images & videos I have seen.

No other content patch or update has included an entire new biome before thus far. If I had to hazard a guess I would say the biome itself is the time sink that is taking the longest part, not that it is a bad thing, I don't mind the wait, I have plenty of things to do in the meantime.

I just don't understand how they do a 180 when mistlands comes out. Valhiem was one of the best games out there when it launched. You all soaked up the praise. Now you hide from the criticism. If the original post is breaking ToS then just unplug the internet and hide under your bed because if that breaks ToS wow it's nuclear winter just out the doors.

Taking too long for sure, but there are lots of other games to play while waiting. Hoping when Mistlands does come (if it comes :p ) that it will be bug free and have lots of content to make the long dev time worth it.

By this point in the early access drama over the last decade we should know that we are not ever promised to get the full vision when we buy in, just the game that's for sale at whatever point we bought in during early access. If that is not going to satisfy you don't buy early access titles ever again.

A mea culpa from the devs? A pile-on by other self-entitled gamers who don't understand what Early Access means so you can feel satisfied with making people feel bad/angry/whatever?

Threads are closed because they help with nothing. They achieve nothing. The horse is dead. Leave it alone. The devs will put out content when they are ready to. Just go play something else.

You literally got what you paid for and by your own words, you got your money's worth.

I can guarantee you theres no developers banning threads on STEAM forums

At this point I'm kind of hoping the Dev's release a video of them having a drug fueled orgy while rolling in cash just to watch people's heads explode. Honestly I'd pay them $100 for that.

i never really comment on these things because its EA and according to most people here that means we should just keep our mouth shut and play something else but I kind of agree with OP...

I thought the point of EA was to fund development and if successful should invest in the company and should speed up development. There are are a few examples of devs investing the money and expanding their team but some EA devs seem to slowly get less and less active after making a bunch of money in EA and the updates take longer and longer with no real content other than small bug fixes here and there. Just move it to full release and call it a day... clearly this isn't top priority for them anymore. This team isn't too bad but seems EA is not being used for its original purpose... maybe I'm wrong though...
