The caps on the ends of the laces on leather armor are called aglets. Their true purpose is sinister.

Every biome up to the plains had 2 armors (heavy and light), so my guess is blackmetal armor... or serpent scale armor which will require blackmetal.
As for other biomes, i have no clue for armors, but i hope there will be 2 in each.
For bosses i have only one guess. So far we met fenrings and crafted fenris armor, which are two similar words but different creatures. We still did not see fenris himself. In norse mythology fenris or fenrir is one of 3 Loki's children (Fenrir, Hel and Jörmungandr). And he is the most dangerous one who is foretold to kill Odin during the events of Ragnarok. Gods knew that so they captured him. At first he was kept in Asgard, but he kept growing at alarming rate so he was transported to a lonely and desolated place where he was chained to a rock by a special chains made by dwarves. My guess is that we will meet him as the boss of Deep North (lonely and desolated place).

Black metal or serpent armor sound pretty damn cool.
Guessing it would be super heavy though

I half hope the Far North is going to be a place of no return and we have to bring everything we need with us or perish.

I had heard about a new type of core and was thinking that maybe it will introduce a mechanic where you need to go through a certain type of portal to be "conditioned" or something so, for example, you would need to pass through a certain type of portal to be able to survive in the Ashlands .. like the portal itself makes you fire resistant and without it you would take damage over time being there.

The devs really have done a great job of making the games mechanics varied and interesting.. frankly it was only when I was making maps for some games in the past I realized you only have so many ways to deal with logic and it is all about how you dress things up in game that keep it interesting and seemingly different.

The ending itself is being set up as a meeting with Odin... but to what end?
Rewarded in some way or just be the lord of purgatory? Glorified jail guard?

I Mean your not wrong in saying that In the end we will meet Odin.
But we already have to a small extent.

I mean Very rarely He will spawn and stare at the player monitoring their progress killing the forsaken. its not much. i started to think that the dreams are like whats currently happening in midgard or other realms. One of the Rune stones say that the mountains are high enough
To "Hear the Battles in midgard or The Valkyries warping through worlds.
So does that mean that There is Actively a Massive war going on?
And that we died in it and got sent to valheim

Pretty sure we died in a war ages past... the dreams are the broken memories from our lives fragmented by death.

Some other theories that made me start this discussion is that.
The rune stones are VERY Story written. I mean duh. But
Like its weird. There are ONLY five bosses we know of.
Eikthyr. The Elder. Bonemass. Moder and Yagluth.
BUT in the black forest one of the rune-stones say that There were SEVEN
That got banished here.

So The mistlands, Deep north and ashlands are the only Lands that do not have bosses.
So maybe a fire demon? a Frost Giant? Or a Massive spider?
Who knows. One thing i do know is that Yagluth is interesting in his "magic" type deal.
In one stage of the game it said that there was a chance of Levels and Magic being added
To valheim for the players to use. So does that mean its possible to Become a Forsaken?
It might mean that Yagluth was a Viking like us.
Reason why i say that is Bc His Voice says...

" This world... is ours... You struggle...
You endure... You bleed... all in vain... Odin cannot save you here... You trespass.. Northmen."

So it got me thinking. another rune says that Someone has been in the ruins. Dungeons
Burials and How the fulings were once advanced and that they challenged the gods.
and how they wonder where are the people that built these ruins? and if anyone came before them. So What if. hear me out.

Vikings were sent just like us. a long long time ago. and They Built Castles. houses.
Even underground cities. and even uncovered new metals like black iron.

And that they "Uncovered" a Dark secret or something that made them challenge the Gods? The ancient Wall writings in caves. The ruined houses. The Castles and Dungeons.
Were built and maybe even wiped out by the gods. as in a "No witnesses" from the gods.
and that Yagluth was one of them who was too strong so they Killed him

The original story from the starwars text run at drop in is that this area was part of the world tree and part of their world.

These bad guys <came along ?> and could not, or maybe Odin didn't want, to kill them. So he put them all on one branch of the world tree and cast it off into purgatory.

So the buildings etc were from when it was part of the "world"... as the enemies grew over time that is when Odin called us dead folk in to deal with it.

I guess our reward is being alive again at all?

I'm betting we'll get frost giants in the far north

My other guess is that the boss of the GAME will be in the ashlands, and it will be the player, serving their role as a champion of Odin, facing off against the Surtr the jotunn

In norse mythology, Surtr will "come from the south with flames, carrying a bright sword" during Ragnarok. It seems reasonable that the devs wouldn't have our nameless viking hero stop all of ragnarok or anything else so over the top....but a trial by fire in Valheim to determine Odin's champion to stand against ONE of the foes of Ragnarok....that feels like it would be a suitably heroic climax to the game while still being vaguely plausible.

That would be a damn interesting fight then, a giant with a Flaming sword as a Boss.
Wonder if any new armors would be in the game. They did say that There is going to be a new weapon type being the greatsword. Even a new Feather cape. So Maybe new armor?
What armor do you think could be added or thought of?

I have a crazy theory, the music that plays in the meadows has some beeping in it that reminds me of beeping you might hear in a hospital.

Could it be valheim is just a limbo the player is experiencing and they will either stay in forever, move onto death or battle impossible odds to rewaken in the real world.
