With 20 wolves at my place it was a bit too quiet. Hopefully the devs will make it tweakable. I also spent several days right next to a mountain and it was hard to tell if wolves even spawned there. The wild ones are nerfed also.

this use of "nerfed" gave me a giggle
but, if the wild wolves are howling less... that's not good :L

...works here. Got many wolves in the trench around my base and a small pen inside the base, haven't heard a single yowl when I enter the area.

I haven't been to my bases with wolves today - am going now just for the relative silence. Thanks for the fyi

As someone with a pen of +40 wolves waiting to be released into a town built entirely for dogs, this is a great addition.

I have not noticed a difference in my game with regards to the lessened howling. I should also add that I've obsessively bred wolves to the point of having a massive hoard surrounding my compound like some ridiculous super villain.

I wouldn't mind if they howled if my base is under attack. An alarm of sorts. That's about it, really.

In the very brief time I've had tamed wolves the howling was already getting really annoying and I purposely placed wolf pens far enough that the sound wouldn't carry to the house.

I think they could be allowed to howl every once in a while since they are wolves and it's not like pet dogs IRL never howl. But I guess with a large pack that would probably end up being just as annoying as constant howling.

In any case, it's definitely much better now than it was before -- and no more threads asking for this exact thing.
