Also generally if your swamp is huge there should be some around and it's true for many dungeon type areas for every biome.

Smaller swamps generally won't have any, I've always had more luck in the big, fat chunks of swamp. You'll come across one that has heaps.

some swamps have none, esp smaller areas. Look for a bigger area or just move on. Good swamps will have a dozen +.

or you can check yourself where there are crypts. Each seed has specific placements for crypts and while as a general rule the larger the swamp biome the more the chance for crypts, its not wholly true as you can get larger concentrations of crypts in smaller swamp biome patches too. Its just part of the procedurally generated system.

trolls spawning on the edge of a black forest/swamp is pretty common. unless the swamp is teeny tiny, the crypts are there. they are easy to miss given how dark it is in there but just keep looking
