No, they won't. I tamed 2-star boars halfway across the map and had to drag them back in an hour-long harpoon mission to get them to breed back at base without having to sit in the pigpen all the time. The idea is to stick the animal pens somewhere near your base.

ugh, wish I knew this before hand. It can be done with my boars, itll be annoying but I can get it done.

What if I want a lox farm though? I've heard they are a major pain in the ass to get on a boat.
