Valheim Minor Tip, Anyone Else Wanna Share?
My experience in Valheim has been limited to the back forest, and meadows, so this shouldn't be that useful but...
I've noticed that if your weapons are sheathed and creatures detect you the weapon control prompt appears in the lower right of the screen. No sneaking required, however deer can trigger it as well. This has saved me a couple times, because it acts kinda like a radar especially in obscured areas maybe it can help you too.
Anyone else have any advice, and if the above suggestion is common knowledge then my bad. Thanks in advance.

easy tip - when one dont want to be bothered by boars, necks, greylings and normal greydwarfs while travelling - simply use a torch
torch even at day - keeps lower creatures away
as a fun fact - i noticed sometimes the viking performs a backhand spin attack with clubs and axes
another tip - when one is taking apart an old shed or house - decontruct the lowest parts of that shed or house the rest will collapse by itself as long as there is no other object touching that building

2. Your boat will turn faster if you go to paddle mode. Not such a big deal with the karve since they're so maneuverable, but in the longship it makes a difference when you're tacking.
3. Torches definitely when you get the event "The forest is moving." It keeps the horde to a manageable size around you.

- The creatures let out a sound when you are close
- don't get overconfident when fighting mobs.
- In the mountains, don't run around in a heavy snowstorm (cliffs are not a joke)
- In the swamp, don't trust what you hear. It might be water lapping against the shore, it might be a blob bouncing near you.

This is true of almost all biomes. They have an "Atmosphere sound track" that may sound like something happening nearby but not actually having a mob near. i.e. the sound of a neck near the coast in the meadows, rattling bones in a burial crypt, lapping water sounds in the swamp. You can't always trust your ears because of it.Originally posted by TangoBlue:- In the swamp, don't trust what you hear. Prey tell... how does one switch to paddle mode? Haven't figured that out yet. I thought he was suppose to auto paddle when he lost the wind.

If you try to take out a nest early on in black forest, but your character still sucks. Find a decent sized boulder within bow range. Make a workbench there and then a ladder to climb boulder. Use fire arrows on the nest. Small mobs of 3 or so creatures will come at you, use regular arrows on them as they approach.
After nest is destroyed, everything can be mopped up.
For body piles that infested buildings in meadowlands. You can make workbench and destroy side of building to expose body pile. Then do similar to above. First you have to take out a few sentries. Try to draw them out 1 or 2 at a time. Careful here cause in troll armor this is still dangerous. You can't rush the process. Be patient. Often in a village, 4 or 5 building are invested. So start with the outer one with easiest access.
If archers are in a tower - they are the priority target.
Many just use regular arrows all the time. I would sparringly use bronze on some Draugr, especially if elite.
You can put different arrows in your hot keys and switch by pressing the number.
If you draw out too many and they have archers. Run away in zig zag patter to avoid arrows.
Another tip - eat healthy. All 4 food groups. :)
If all else fails - use duck tape and remember to keep your stick on the ice.

Another archery tip:
That very first strike arrow you use to pull an enemy that hasn't attacked/seen you yet?
Hit your crouch button first. You'll go into sneak mode, and your first hit will be a critical one (double damage if not more?). Only works for the first arrow though.

Deer triggering it is an inconvenience, especially in areas where visibility isn't great (or during fog).
