restart the server. i was having issues joining my own server. i restarted both the client and the server. no issues

Same here, my brother and I, both on PC, both in the same room, can't play together, we could like, a couple of days ago...

We are both in Canada. and both in same room. Shes on steam deck and im on PC.

@Bender - Odd question, but is your friend in the same region/country? Most of us are from the U.S., but the buddy of ours who can't seem to join is from Canada. I'm assuming Brokelands did something. Odd thing was he was able to join when we first played Valheim when it initially came out.

No mods, same version

Most dedicated servers are password locked to prevent griefers; As this is not an MMO, there isn't a guarantee of there being an open public server.

You could go on the valheim discord and ask around if there's any willing to let you join their server; aside from that, you'll have to play with( or make friends) that have valheim, Host your own server, or play solo.

My friend is having the same issue. I gave him the info (IP/PW) and still comes up with failed connect. He did a fresh install of the game, drives are updated, did verity cache, etc. There is no incompatible version, but definitely failed to connect. He'll go to a friend's server and no issue.

I've talked to the hosting company and everything looks fine on their end. I cannot figure out why it basically not allowing him to join.
