The only assumption that's safe to make is that flametal will be used. Maybe there will be more uses for cores, dverger lanterns consume one from mistlands so it also seems safe to assume surtling cores will continue to be components in future updates. Maybe even black cores.

I hope black cores get used more.
I was abit put out when I found out there wasn't a staff that used one.
I'm not sure what kind of staff it would be though. They already have necromancy covered.

Same. Plenty of oppertunity there. What I'm really hopeful for is that current staff's will get a secondary action, like the fire staff getting one of the dverger mages spells and what not. Also endless opportunities for additional staves / objects / spells to be made.

You KNOW there will be a lightning staff. I can't wait for that :f
